Coast Southwest signed a national distribution agreement for the exclusive marketing and sales of CrossChem’s GlyAcid product line to the personal care market. GlyAcid is the new global standard for high purity glycolic acid. CrossChem’s state-of-the-art process and proprietary saponification technology produces a commercially available glycolic acid that is formaldehyde- and formic acid-free. In other news, Coast Southwest reports Cosmos natural approval from Ecocert for its Olivatis emulsifiers. Olivatis is a family of high-performing natural emulsifiers derived from Italian olive oil; Olivatis 11, Olivatis 12 and Olivatis 13, and Olivatis 17 have received Cosmos Natural approval from Ecocert. Olivatis emulsifiers are natural, sustainable and PEG-free. They are ideal for nonionic systems. This new generation of emulsifiers delivers the ultimate in olive oil-based chemistry, said the company. Olivatis 11 is a PEG-free substitute for laureth-4. Olivatis 12 provides excellent water repellency for water-in-oil formulations. Olivatis 13 delivers long-lasting emollient properties for oil-in-water systems.
